Dollhouse and miniatures: the living-room

At last: in March 2000 this room is  finished.

How I began with the living-room you can see on the page with old pictures

This picture is made with daylight. You can see the floor has a real warm colour.

More pictures of the floor you can see here.

The ceiling is ready wíth the lamp.

I made the lamp from messing tubes with a piece of a sort of stone turned on my lathe.

The cupboard was a huge work too. More pictures of the cupboard.

Almost as beautiful is the room with the outside lights out and only the lamps in the dollhouse on.

The stove burns so lovely.

Well, I only have to make now.... fill it in yourself.

To be continued.....

Walnut-wood liberty-chair, made after the example from the magazine Poppenhuizen en Miniaturen.

The sliding-door between the living-room and the dining-room has real glass. The glass has lines of Wacolux leadpaste. Some of the squares are painted with glass-paint.

The door itself is hollow and the glass can come out to be repared or cleaned.

The sliding-doors (ofcourse there are 2) slide on a rail of wood and cuppertube (1mm) and dissappear in the hollow walls.

The 'picture' is made by putting the whole door in the scanner.

5 things for in the living-room on true size. A footstove painted by Mrs. Derkse, een potje met bol gemaakt door Anja van den Doel .

A bowl and a vase from Gerda van Dijk and a painting (3,5 x 3 cm) from M.Brandon-Bravo.
