Libertychair 1:12 for the
living-room or study of the Dreamhouse
The liberty-chair with adjustable back. I
made this from walnut-wood after an example from P&M.
Extra exciting were the frontlegs, which did have to stay square. First I clammed the pieces in a hollow tube, nicely centered and then turned the round part on a lathe. Another problem were the holes in the back, but thanks to a fixed drillingmachine it worked. Now I only need to wax the chair.

To make nice pillows is not
an easy job.
I made them with wrapped pieces balsa, but there must be better methods.... ?

Update: I gave the chair an
special walnut-oil which was recommended from a nice store in our little town
Pijnacker.
I think the effect is better then stain or wax, don't you think ? Now I only need new pillows.... |
