Dollhouse and miniatures: the garden.

I made the garden in origin to hide the transformer in the shed with the wiring under the grass. The walls of the shed are, just like the walls of the Dreamhouse, from wood, painted white three times and red one time. After that I scratched out the seams with a needle along a ruler. The hedge is made of Icelands moss on a piece of wired-netting. The grass comes from a model-train-store. The plants are mainly made of dried flowers. The soil is real ! The gravel-path exists of canary-stones. The fence, I soldered from steel-wire, flat iron-wire and alpaca-wire.

Lamp above the kitchendoor. Full-sized.

Made of cut and soldered lemonade-tin on a piece of iron-band.

Little bird eating is hanging in the tree in the garden. I bought this one from The Enchanted Window on the dollhouse fair in Arnhem.

The inner court I made of air-drying clay. First saw a piece of wood in the right size, then roll out a layer of clay with a dough-roller.

Further cut the pattern with a knife in the clay and let it dry good.

Then paint the stones one by one with several colors. I used 12 different Humbrol paints.

Because the result was rather bright, I smuthered the floor with ashes.

This chair is made on a club-evening.

In the lathes I drilled little holes for original pin-hole connections.

In the back of the garden is this kitchen-stairs.

This one too I made on a club-evening from our guild in The Hague with Fred den Boer.

See the scooter on the side-walk of the house.
Left a bird's house on a standard which is in the middle of the garden. Right a bird's house from bamboo and straw for in the tree.

Before this barbecue can be put in the very little garden, I'll first have to make a bigger garden. Update follows.........

(Made of stones 30x3 mm and a piece of embroiderie-canvas from the children)

This rabbit-house I made as a swap for Liesbeth.
